How to create an account, sign in, recover your password and manage your profile and settings.
Six steps to your BidX account
A BidX account lets you save items, message sellers and — whenever you are ready — register as a seller. You can sign up with Google, with your email address, or with your phone number.
Sign up with Google
Uses your Google account. You then create a backup BidX password so you can also sign in with email and password.
Sign up with email
Full name, email address and password. You may be asked to confirm your email before your first sign in.
Sign up with phone
Adds your Nigerian phone number so you can sign in with it later. An email address is still required.
Welcome back
Returning users tap Sign In at the top of the Marketplace. There are two ways to sign in:
- Email or phone number and password — type the email address or phone number on your account, then your BidX password.
- Google — continue with the Google account you used to sign up.
After a successful login
You return to the Marketplace, signed in. Your profile icon opens My Account, and the menu (☰) gives you Account Settings, Saved Items, Messages and — depending on your account — Start Selling or My Listings.
If login is unsuccessful
- Check what you typedMake sure the email or phone number and password are correct. A message such as “Invalid login credentials” means one of them did not match.
- Confirm your emailIf you signed up with email, open the confirmation link sent to your inbox before signing in.
- Reset your passwordTap “Forgot password?”, enter your email and tap “Send Reset Link”. Open the link, choose a new password and tap “Update Password”. If a link has expired, request a new one.

Profile vs Account Settings
My Account is your profile — a summary of who you are on BidX. Account Settings is where you update the information behind it.
My Account (profile)
Shows your full name, email, phone, account type, State, LGA and the date you joined. Sellers also see their seller WhatsApp number and seller status. From here you can use Edit Profile and view your Referrals.
Personal Information
Your personal details on the account.
Seller Contact Information
The phone and WhatsApp details buyers use to reach you as a seller.
Banking Information
Bank name, account name and account number. Sellers choose for each product whether these saved bank details are shown to buyers.
Business Information
Your seller type (Seller) and seller status.
Request Name Change
Enter the name to change, the requested name and the reason, then tap “Send Request to Admin”. BidX Admin replies in your Messages.
Other account tools
Settings
Found at the bottom of the menu: choose your language (English, Hausa, Igbo or Yorùbá), Privacy & Security, Account Deletion Request and Logout.
Referrals
Every account has a referral code and link to share. Every 10 successful referrals earn one free product upload credit for selling.
