What is BidX?
An introduction to BidX, the online marketplace operated by Bidx Prime Trade Zone Ltd and now live in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa — who it is for, how buyers and sellers use it, and how its structure keeps the Marketplace organised.
A structured marketplace for buying and selling
BidX is a digital marketplace operated by Bidx Prime Trade Zone Ltd. It is a place where products are listed by approved sellers and discovered by buyers — organised by category, by location and by seller.
Unlike an open notice board, BidX adds structure. Sellers register and are approved before they list. Every product goes through a review before it appears. Every listing includes a State and Local Government Area (LGA), so buyers can see where an item is located and the Marketplace can show the nearest items first.
BidX works in the browser at app.bidxprimetradezone.online and as an Android app on Google Play. The Marketplace can be used in English, Hausa, Igbo and Yorùbá.
What BidX is not
BidX is a marketplace, not a bank or payment service. When a buyer purchases an item, the buyer and seller agree on payment and delivery or collection between themselves. BidX does not receive or hold the money paid for an item. The only payments made to BidX are seller subscription fees.
Built for people on both sides of a sale
One BidX account can be used to buy. The same account can later register as a seller — you do not need a second account.
Buyers
Anyone looking for a product. Buyers browse, search, save items, view sellers and get in touch with them.
Sellers
Anyone who wants to sell. Registration is free, the first product listing is free after approval, and a Monthly (₦1,500, 30 days) or Annual (₦15,000, 365 days) subscription lets sellers keep adding products.
BidX Agents
Approved Agents who help new sellers register on the Marketplace and earn commission from successful registrations.
Find it, check it, ask about it
Buyers start on the Marketplace home screen. From there they can type into the search box (“I am looking for...”), choose a State and LGA, open a category, or tap Near Me to see sellers close to their current location.
Opening a product shows its photos, price, description, location and the seller’s information. When something looks right, the buyer contacts the seller using WhatsApp Seller, Call Seller or Message Seller, then agrees the transaction directly with them.

- Recently viewed items are kept on your device for quick return.
- Buyers never need to register as a seller.
Register, get approved, list with confidence
A seller first registers as a Seller and waits for BidX Admin approval. Once approved, the seller uses Add Product to create a listing with the product name, price, category, location, description and between one and five product images.
Each product is submitted for review and shows “Pending Review” until it is approved. Approved products appear on the Marketplace, where buyers can find them and contact the seller directly. Sellers keep track of everything in My Listing, where they can edit a product or mark it as sold out.
How sellers present products
A good listing tells buyers exactly what they are getting: a clear name, the right category and subcategory, the condition where relevant, an accurate price and price type (Fixed, Negotiable or Auction / Bid), and the item’s State, LGA and area.
The nearest items come first
Buying is easier when the seller is close by. That is why every BidX listing records a State and LGA, and why the Marketplace uses your chosen or current location to order results.
Items in your LGA appear first, then items elsewhere in your State, then items from other States. If nothing matches in your area yet, BidX tells you so and shows the nearest matches from other areas instead.
Two reviews keep the Marketplace organised
BidX Admin reviews sellers before they can list, and reviews products before they are shown to buyers.
1. Seller review
When someone registers as a seller, their seller details — seller or shop name, phone and WhatsApp numbers, State and LGA — are reviewed. Products can only be added after approval.
2. Product review
Each new product is submitted for review and shows “Pending Review”. Editing a product sends it back for review. Only approved products are visible to the public.
Now live in four African countries
BIDx Marketplace is expanding access to digital commerce across Africa. It is now available in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.
