How to buy on BidX
Search the Marketplace, find products near you, check the seller and get in touch — then agree the transaction directly with them.
The buyer journey in ten steps
BidX connects you with the seller. You review the item, ask your questions and agree how payment and delivery or collection will work. BidX does not receive or hold the payment for an item.
- Create an accountSign up with Google, email or phone number. See how.
- Enter the MarketplaceOpen app.bidxprimetradezone.online or the BidX Android app and sign in.
- Search for what you needType in “I am looking for...”, or browse Shop Categories and the Marketplace.
- Use location to find nearby productsChoose your State and LGA, or tap Near Me. The nearest results are shown first.
- Browse product informationOpen a product to see its photos, price and price type, description, condition and location.
- Review seller informationCheck the seller’s name, location and contact details.
- Contact the sellerUse WhatsApp Seller, Call Seller or Message Seller.
- Ask questions where necessaryConfirm the condition, what is included, availability and the final price.
- Arrange the transaction with the sellerAgree on payment and on delivery or a meetup place and time.
- Complete the purchase as agreedInspect the item and complete the transaction according to what you agreed.
Search by what it is — results by where it is
The search box on the home screen reads “I am looking for...”. Type a word or a few words describing the item. BidX looks for matches in product names and descriptions, categories and subcategories, product details such as brand, and seller and store names.
Matching products are then ordered by location: items in your LGA first, then elsewhere in your State, then other States. When nothing matches in your area yet, BidX shows the message “None here yet — showing nearest matches from other areas”, so you still see the closest available results.
Refine your results
- Categories and subcategories — narrow results to a type of product.
- State and LGA — focus on a specific area, or choose “Show All”.
- Sort — “Newest first”, “Price: Low to High” or “Price: High to Low”.
- Sellers Near Me — use your current location.
A marketplace that knows what is close to you
Location helps you find items you can actually go and see. It works from the State and LGA you choose, or from your device’s current location if you allow it.
How it works
- Choose an area: on the home screen, pick a State and then a Local Government Area (LGA). The Marketplace focuses on that area.
- Or use your current location: if you allow your device to share its location, BidX matches it to the nearest LGA in Nigeria. A State and LGA you choose yourself always take priority.
- Nearest first: results in the same LGA come first, then the same State, then other States — ordered by distance within each group.
- Near Me: “Items Near Me” and “Find Sellers Near Me” show sellers around your location with their approximate distance (for example “3 km away”), a “View Products” button and a Google Maps link for directions.
Three direct ways to reach a seller
Every product page has contact buttons. Choose the one that suits you — and ask everything you need to know before you agree to buy.
WhatsApp Seller
Opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message: “Hello, I am interested in your BidX listing: …” followed by the product name.
Call Seller
Calls the phone number the seller provided.
Message Seller
Starts a conversation in BidX Messages. Your conversations are in Messages in the bottom navigation, with a badge for unread messages.
Seller Contact Information
Tap “View all” to see the seller’s name, WhatsApp, phone, email and location — and bank details only if the seller chose to show them.
Recommended for you
The home screen helps you discover products without searching. Here is exactly what each feed shows:
- Recommended for you — the newest approved products, with items near you first. If you chose a State or LGA, it follows that choice.
- Recently Viewed — products you opened recently, saved on your own device, with “View All” to see the full list.
- Related listings — under each product, more items of the same make and model, the same subcategory or the same category (for example “More in Furniture”).
- Saved Items — products you saved with the heart button, kept on your account across devices.
Buy carefully and confidently
A few habits make every BidX purchase smoother and safer.
Search carefully
Use specific words, choose the right category and set your State and LGA to find the most relevant items.
Review product details
Read the full description and check the photos, condition, price type and location.
Check seller information
Look at the seller’s name, location and contact details before you agree a sale.
Ask questions
Ask about condition, what is included, availability and the final price before agreeing to anything.
Confirm transaction details
Agree on the price, payment method and delivery or meetup arrangement in writing where possible.
Use caution
Inspect items before paying where possible and meet unknown parties in safe, public places.
Report suspicious activity
Contact BidX through Help & Support or our Contact page if something seems wrong.
Save and compare
Save items you like and compare similar listings before deciding.
Protect your account
Never share your BidX password or verification codes with anyone.
